Activist Court Overturns Century-Old Limits on Corporate Electioneering
21 January 2010, 06:31:09 PM Tim Dickinson
In a shocking reversal of more than 100 years of precedent, the Supreme Court ruled this morning that money is a form of speech, and that corporations and unions are individuals under the constitution whose speech (expenditures) can not be limited in political campaigns.
This is a dark, dark day.
[Blunderov]In keeping with the Rock 'n Roll theme of
Rolling Stone...
"A French maid, foreign chef A big house with king size bed You've had enough, you ship them out The dollar's up-down, you'd better buy the pound The claim is on you The sights are on me So what do you do That's guaranteed Hey little girl, you broke the laws You hustle, you deal, you steal from us all
Come on, come on, love me for the money Come on, come on. listen to the money talk Come on, come on, love me for the money Come, come on, listen to the money talk Money talks, yeah, yeah"

[Bl.] The otherwise absurd judgment that money is a form of speech has it's upside. At least from now on anyone charged in a court of law with the crime of prostitution will be able to defend themseves on the basis that they were simply engaging in two perfectly acceptable forms of intercourse simultaneously.
