virus: Restart the Virian Book Club?

I think this would be a great place to get back to basics: Learning accompanied by Rational Discussion. The Virian Book Club.
Take about a week to put together a short list of books again About 2 weeks to get the books 1 week to read and make comments 1 week to finish arguments
Makes it about a 2 week cycle once it gets started up, How about it?
My own suggestion is to try to pick something as cutting edge and challengeing as possible. I mean,... we have how many brillant minds here. Lets Use each other to Learn. Let me know what you think, Nate

Excellent idea but a 2 week cycle is too short for me to participate.

This is a problem. While two weeks isnt sufficient for most, a month is way too long a period of time to spread the book. Should we split a book into parts and have weekly discussions? Is it possible to be 'in-sync'?

I just finished the Wasp Factory by Iain Banks. He's a very good writer whose penchant for character development is in a class by itself. The story is about a young man, who lives with his father, in a village on the coast of England. The young man is in some ways a sociopath, but in other ways very sane compared to others in the novel. I highly recommend this novel - it's a very quick read and it will leave you wanting more.
Kind regards, Casey
