virus: Jake's political rant

I continue to resent being associated with this Christian Crusade. I am disgusted that the US did not expend any effort to protect the museums of Bagdad. That is a glaring and unacceptable failure. Just like failing to diplomatically secure a northern ground front, by needlessly pissing the Turks off. Just like letting the Germans eat our diplomatic lunch in the security council. Just like calling for a Crusade on Terror, and not just once. Just like losing the Senate by stupidly pissing off one now former Republican. Perhaps GWB may try to fool us by claiming to have changed after 9-11, but the pattern of stupid angry asshole failures obviously remains the same. This compassionate conservative failure needs to resign and go home to Maine. Maybe he should consider going home to alcohol and cocaine too. godblessamerika.
Love,
-Jake, a United States of American citizen.

[reminder: Anything to do with Bush, Iraq and the war is off topic for the list. Please post to the Serious Business board on the BBS. -ed.]
As opposed to yourself Jake, I'm continually impressed with my Christian country's President's ability to limit this crusade to aggressors and serious threats. While I'm not much on the idea of a crusade, the idea seems to work well from the perspective of a religious leader of a religious country. Especially when the crusade is on terror. If the Islamic world thinks that means them, well what does that say? While it would have been nice to protect the museums of Iraq, it was far from our responsibility. The actions of the looters only demonstrate the level of suffering that pre-existed our entrance, and the lack of the will of the people of Iraq to protect their own heritage. It's too bad that such a perfectly and effectivly executed war, by any historical standards, still was not god-like enough to please some people. Maybe the US could make a big "god like hand" to reach into any part of the world, cure the sick, stop the violence, speak with a loud boomy voice, and have zero civilians harmed. Something tells me that some people's hatred of our president is so vast, that even such a gesture would fall far short of their demands. I'm happy with my president and the direction the US is taking. Think I'll vote for him this time.
XOXO,
-Bill, A United States of America citizen
