[Blunderov] Is this all about that business vis a vis the Mayan Calendar?( Burn Hollywood, burn!) There has, down the ages, been no shortage of predictions about TEOTWAWKI*. And, I admit, I've been happy to contribute to their number from time to time. The beauty of this particular prophecy is that, when the appointed date comes and goes without The Dread Event taking place, it suffices to simply recalculate the ETA thereof and move on. The brutal fact that The Dread Event must occur at some time, if not this exact moment, is after all, unanswerable. There's even a bonus: if and when The Dread Event does occur, one can then claim to have been right all the time!
