No Faith
Keep this value above all That Value is Us We are the Keepers of the Radiance
I want to Know (truth) I want to be Sane (coherent knowledge) I want to Survive (life) I want to Prosper (good life) I want to be Good (maximize chances of a good life)
I am an Agnostic I am a Skeptic I am an Empirist I am a Scientist I am a Pancritical Rationalist I am a Bayesian
All these terms have a single referent: I desire no faith
I am an Infidel

Here's a technical explanation of what it means to minimize Faith
Let T(A) = P(A|E) the truth value of proposition A is the probability of A given all evidence according to Bayes theorem
Let B(A|X) == the belief value of proposition A assigned by agent X
T and B vary between 0 (false) and 1 (true) where the midpoint 0.5 is agnostic (no knowledge)
Let F(A|X,E) == abs(B(A|X) - P(A|E)) the faith value of proposition A for an agent X given all evidence E also varies between 0 (no faith) and 1 (absolute faith)
Infidels desire to minimize F(A|X,E)
E == B(*|X) where * == all propositions in X's belief system B(*|X) is a recurrent belief network
The network has an aggregate faith value, the sum of the faith values over all nodes
The Infidel desires to minimize the aggregate faith value of their belief network in order to maximize sanity and minimize delusion

This one works for me. "Us," starts this off on a note of empathy. Reason and vision are indispensible virtues as well, however empathy is the source of energy for systems of human thought. To fire the network up in the first place we have to plug into an energy source, and for us that is empathy. Without empathy we - or rather I and you - run into the problem of other minds (aka solipcism). My latest motto I've been holding onto in regards to the Virtues and Sins is, "Lead with empathy." On another thread in response to my theft based ethics (inspired by Scary Dave working from the sinful side, or "do no harm") Fritz suggested the virtuous approach of reciprocal altruism ("do good"). I think that functionally equates to leading with empathy. So by leading with empathy that value is Us. I agree with all the other statements too. Ever since 9/11 and the Iraq war I have identified myself as an Infidel in regards to religion (in preference over other words like "atheist").

The first opening for a question I see comes with the words "proposition" (of which A is obviously one of many instances) and "nodes". If I replace "nodes" with "propositions" is it still true, and/or does it change the meaning?

Right, every node in the belief network corresponds to a different belief which consists of a proposition (or some statement about the workd) and an associated truth value (probability, plausibility, confidence) between 0 (false) and 1 (true).
