I have a problem. I see a cute picture of a cat in an invisible swimming pool, eating an invisible burger, wanting makeoutz, whatever, and I'll giggle for like, 10 minutes. Yes I'm completely addicted to LOLcats.
And now there are LOLbots?
I iz a lost lil' lectr1c sheep.

[Blunderov] I did not know about lolcats before. Interesting memetic phenomenon.
I have a colleague whom I tease about being an angel of death. He visits people in hospital who then inevitably die shortly thereafter. I have forbidden him to visit me should I ever land up in hospital. The relationship between cause and effect is not always as clear cut as it might be but some risks are not worth taking is my view.

I couldn't resist when I read this Guardian story about Oscar, the death predicting cat.
When the two-year-old grey and white cat curls up next to an elderly resident, staff now realise, this means they are likely to die in the next few hours. Such is Oscar's apparent accuracy - 25 consecutive cases so far - that nurses at the US home now warn family members to rush to a patient's beside as soon as the cat takes up residence there.

That's interesting about Oscar the angel-cat of death. I do wonder what the full stats are on hits and misses, does he ignore the residents otherwise? Why is it so strange that he just might be curled at the end of X random bed an elderly resident is dying in, when as was said he might just be drawn to the heat from electric blankets, etc. Very interesting though, and I wonder if the residents there are scared of him now; sleep with their doors closed.
Does everyone remember that ubiquitous cliché picture of the cat hanging from a tree, with the words HANG IN THERE! - I wonder does that count as patient_zero; the progenitor of the LOLcat meme?

My first wife and some of her girl friends were looking through a book of cat photos, cooing, giggling, and going "aaaawwww how cyuuuuute". After a while I took a look at the 25 year old copyright notice in the book, smiled broadly and informed them, "All these cats are probably dead now." ROFLMFAO Cats!!! Well, at least I thought it was funny.

DJ_Android Quote:"If you're distracted by lolcats at work all day, new evidence from evolutionary biology suggests it's not your fault." | [letheomaniac] I suffer from precisely this condition. Good to know that there is a reasonable explanation for it. While on the topic of lolz, this currently has my vote for best lolcat EVER...
