Just introducing myself.
I signed up on this forum a long time ago but I was only active in the forums of the Universal Life Church (I'm an ordained minister.) However, things there have gone from tolerant discussions of philosophy and religion to out right bigotry, threats, and insults.
So I've moved on to what I hope will be a more civilized and open minded forum.
A little about myself: Born an atheist (weren't we all?

) raised mormon till I was about 8 when I decided that christianity just didn't work for me. Was privately a pagan, constantly studying all manners of alternative religions, till about the age of 16 when I was having doubts about all of it and read "Why Atheism?"
About the ULC and my ordination, their system of beliefs allows for any religion, or even the non-religious to become ordained as a legal minister. While on those forums, I've tried to interject reason into the debate, along with the help of several atheist "ministers".
I'm currently a student at U.C. Berkeley, studying Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. I'd say I'm an atheist, but I'm still working through the details of agnosticism. I am a member of Berkeley SANE: Students for A Non-religious Ethos.
Now in terms that you guys'll understand

:
Current Infections: Tolerance, Skepticism, Non-Violence ...
My current beliefs are more throughly placed on my website:
