"biological deficiency" The Sickle Cell trait is only a benefit in the
environment in which it evolved. When outside of that environment it becomes
a marked deficiency.
Just like your deficient language skills would be of benefit only in your
native environment at high school, not here where the big folks use formal
critical reasoning.
